The Ardbeg 1815 edition was released to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Ardbeg distillery. This limited edition whisky is a blend of spirits from two casks: one Bourbon and one Sherry, filled in 1974 and 1975, respectively. It was aged for 33 years before being bottled, with only 400 bottles produced. Each bottle is individually numbered, and the back label features the signature of Ardbeg Distillery Manager Michael Heads.
This single malt whisky was bottled at 50.1% ABV and is presented in 700 ml bottles. As a distillery bottling, Ardbeg 1815 represents the distillery's heritage and the maturation process in Bourbon and Sherry casks contributes to its character and complexity.
