This whisky has undergone a maturation process that includes an initial 20-year period in traditional American oak hogsheads, followed by a finishing period in casks that previously contained Caroni rum. The Caroni rum casks, obtained by William Grant & Sons in 2009, contribute to the flavor profile of the whisky.
