The Bowmore 1964, aged 31 years, is a limited edition single malt whisky bottled in collaboration with the luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin under the Black Bowmore DB5 series. Distilled at the Bowmore Distillery and matured in a Williams & Humbert Oloroso Sherry Butt, this whisky was first bottled in 1995 and later rebottled in 2020. With only 27 bottles produced, and just 25 released for purchase, it is a rare item for whisky collectors.
The presentation of the Bowmore 1964 - 31 Year Old - Aston Martin Black Bowmore DB5 includes a hand-blown bottle incorporating an actual Aston Martin DB5 piston. It is encased in a string-grain calfskin presentation box with brass latches and nickel-plated hinges. Additional accessories provided with the bottle include white gloves and a protective cover, all packaged within a custom shipping crate designed to ensure the bottle's protection.
This whisky, at 49.6% volume and contained in a 700 ml bottle, is part of the distillery bottling series. Its scarcity and the partnership with Aston Martin contribute to its status as a collectible item, though its value is ultimately determined by the market and individual collectors' interests.
