The Compass Box - The General is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky produced by the independent bottler Compass Box. This blend comprises two parcels of whisky, one of which has a disclosed age of 33 years. The whiskies were combined at a young age and subsequently matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. The aging process in these casks contributes to the complexity of the whisky's flavor profile. The General was bottled in November 2013 at a cask strength of 53.4% ABV, with a total of 1,698 bottles released.
