The Glenmorangie 1978 - Tain L'Hermitage is a single malt Scotch whisky that underwent a maturation process involving two types of casks. Initially distilled in 1978, the whisky was aged for 12 years in American white oak casks and then finished for an additional 5 years in wine barrels sourced from Tain L'Hermitage in the Rhone Valley. It was bottled in 1997.
