The Midleton Very Rare 1998 is part of the Midleton Very Rare collection, an annual release of blended whiskies that commenced in 1984. The 1998 edition, bottled at 40.0% ABV in a 700 ml bottle, is a blend that has been aged between 12 and 25 years in Bourbon casks. Each bottle is individually numbered and features the signature of Barry Crockett, the master distiller at Midleton from 1981 until his retirement in 2012.
