The Springbank 1997 - 12 Year Old - Claret Wood is a limited edition single malt whisky from the Springbank distillery. It was distilled in May 1997 and bottled in February 2010. The whisky was initially matured for 9 years in refill bourbon casks, followed by a 3-year finishing period in fresh claret casks. This maturation process contributes to the flavor profile of the whisky.
