Springbank 21 Year Old - 2022 Release

Springbank is unique among distilleries for performing all whisky-making processes, from malting to bottling, on the same site. This commitment to quality and tradition is reflected in the 2022 release of their 21-year-old single malt. Notably, the whisky is two and a half times distilled and bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings, retaining its authentic character.

This edition continues the legacy of the gold-boxed 21-year-olds that first appeared in 2012, reviving the age statement after a hiatus due to lack of aged stock in the 1990s. Operating under the ownership of J & A Mitchell & Company, Springbank also produces two other distinct single malt brands—Longrow, a heavily peated variant, and Hazelburn, a triple-distilled offering. The 21 Year Old, however, remains a flagship offering under the Springbank name, known for its medium peat level and versatile cask maturation.
