Originating from an inspiration linked to an expedition near the Cape of Good Hope, specifically a vast sea kelp forest, this expression of Talisker has undergone a 44-year maturation process. A distinguishing feature of this whisky is its final maturation stage in marine oak casks. These casks have undergone a unique charring process using a blend of sustainably harvested Scottish sea kelp and wood shavings from staves, imparting distinct characteristics to the whisky.

With an alcohol content of 49.1%, the Talisker 44 Year Old is available in 700 ml bottles. It is classified under the category of single malt whiskies and forms a part of the 'Forests of the Deep' series introduced by the distillery in 2022.
