The Glenburgie Distillery was founded in 1810, however it was completely rebuilt in 2003 and since then only the old customs building has been preserved, used as a tasting room. Taking into account the restructuring, the distillery can be considered one of the youngest in Scotland. Most of the volumes produced are used to create Ballantine's, Teachers, Old Smuggler blends.
