Distilled in 1940 and matured in a sherry oak cask, this single malt whisky has an alcohol strength of 41.6% Vol. The release is limited to 288 bottles, each containing 700 ml of whisky. The presentation features a cabinet crafted from wood of an elm tree that grew on The Macallan Estate and was planted in the same year the whisky was distilled. The cabinet includes a mouth-blown decanter, which is cradled by three bronze hands, symbolizing the contributions of master whisky-maker Kirsteen Campbell, former chairman Allan Shiach, and the distillery workers of 1940.
