Integral to the Red Collection are Macallan's oldest-ever ongoing bottlings—40, 50, and 60-year-old single malts, complemented by an exclusive trio of the distillery's oldest ever bottled whiskies—71, 74, and 78-year-old single malts. Each edition within this range is highly limited, showcasing the commitment to quality over quantity.

The Macallan 71 Year Old, part of this exceptional collection, was matured in sherry seasoned casks and bottled at 41.6% ABV. It reflects Macallan's unwavering dedication to the mastery of wood and spirit.

Each bottle in the Red Collection is presented in an oak box crafted by hand in the UK, using the same European oak as in the Macallan casks. Upholstered with sustainably sourced, soft Scottish leather, the interior of the box radiates quality and luxury. Additionally, every bottle comes with a natural oak plinth, previously a stave from a cask. Imperfections on the plinth are evidence of its past life as a whisky barrel, adding to the character and authenticity of the presentation.
