The Macallan Gold Double Cask is a noteworthy single malt whisky matured in hand-picked Oloroso sherry seasoned European and American oak casks. Originally introduced in 2012 as part of the distillery's 1824 series of non-age statement expressions, the Macallan Gold was renamed in 2018 as part of the new core range, transitioning to the Double Cask series. This release showcases Macallan's exceptional cask management, an aspect that forms part of the brand's Six Pillars.
